צ״זמָה־אָהַ֥בְתִּי תוֹרָתֶ֑ךָ כׇּל־הַ֝יּ֗וֹם הִ֣יא שִׂיחָתִֽי׃
97מ O how I love Your teaching!It is my study all day long.
צ״חמֵֽ֭אֹיְבַי תְּחַכְּמֵ֣נִי מִצְוֺתֶ֑ךָ כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם הִיא־לִֽי׃
98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies;they always stand by me.
צ״טמִכׇּל־מְלַמְּדַ֥י הִשְׂכַּ֑לְתִּי כִּ֥י עֵ֝דְוֺתֶ֗יךָ שִׂ֣יחָה לִֽי׃
99I have gained more insight than all my teachers,for Your decrees are my study.
ק׳מִזְּקֵנִ֥ים אֶתְבּוֹנָ֑ן כִּ֖י פִקּוּדֶ֣יךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃
100I have gained more understanding than my elders,for I observe Your precepts.
ק״אמִכׇּל־אֹ֣רַח רָ֭ע כָּלִ֣אתִי רַגְלָ֑י לְ֝מַ֗עַן אֶשְׁמֹ֥ר דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃
101I have avoided every evil wayso that I may keep Your word.
ק״במִמִּשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ לֹא־סָ֑רְתִּי כִּי־אַ֝תָּ֗ה הוֹרֵתָֽנִי׃
102I have not departed from Your rules,for You have instructed me.
ק״גמַה־נִּמְלְצ֣וּ לְ֭חִכִּי אִמְרָתֶ֗ךָ מִדְּבַ֥שׁ לְפִֽי׃
103How pleasing is Your word to my palate,sweeter than honey.
ק״דמִפִּקּוּדֶ֥יךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָ֑ן עַל־כֵּ֝֗ן שָׂנֵ֤אתִי ׀ כׇּל־אֹ֬רַח שָֽׁקֶר׃ {פ}
104I ponder Your precepts;therefore I hate every false way.
ק״הנֵר־לְרַגְלִ֥י דְבָרֶ֑ךָ וְ֝א֗וֹר לִנְתִיבָתִֽי׃
105נ Your word is a lamp to my feet,a light for my path.
ק״ונִשְׁבַּ֥עְתִּי וָאֲקַיֵּ֑מָה לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר מִשְׁפְּטֵ֥י צִדְקֶֽךָ׃
106I have firmly swornto keep Your just rules.
ק״זנַעֲנֵ֥יתִי עַד־מְאֹ֑ד יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה חַיֵּ֥נִי כִדְבָרֶֽךָ׃
107I am very much afflicted;O ETERNAL One, preserve me in accordance with Your word.
ק״חנִדְב֣וֹת פִּ֭י רְצֵה־נָ֣א יְהֹוָ֑ה וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃
108Accept, O ETERNAL One, my freewill offerings;teach me Your rules.
ק״טנַפְשִׁ֣י בְכַפִּ֣י תָמִ֑יד וְ֝ת֥וֹרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃
109Though my life is always in danger,I do not neglect Your teaching.
ק״ינָתְנ֬וּ רְשָׁעִ֣ים פַּ֣ח לִ֑י וּ֝מִפִּקּוּדֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א תָעִֽיתִי׃
110Though the wicked have set a trap for me,I have not strayed from Your precepts.
קי״אנָחַ֣לְתִּי עֵדְוֺתֶ֣יךָ לְעוֹלָ֑ם כִּֽי־שְׂשׂ֖וֹן לִבִּ֣י הֵֽמָּה׃
111Your decrees are my eternal heritage;they are my heart’s delight.
קי״בנָטִ֣יתִי לִ֭בִּי לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת חֻקֶּ֗יךָ לְעוֹלָ֥ם עֵֽקֶב׃ {פ}
112I am resolved to follow Your lawsto the utmostcto the utmost Meaning of Heb. uncertain. forever.
קי״גסֵעֲפִ֥ים שָׂנֵ֑אתִי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ֥ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃
113ס I hate the double-minded,but I love Your teaching.
קי״דסִתְרִ֣י וּמָגִנִּ֣י אָ֑תָּה לִדְבָרְךָ֥ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃
114You are my protection and my shield;I hope for Your word.
קט״וסוּרוּ־מִמֶּ֥נִּי מְרֵעִ֑ים וְ֝אֶצְּרָ֗ה מִצְוֺ֥ת אֱלֹהָֽי׃
115Keep away from me, you evildoers,that I may observe the commandments of my God.
קט״זסׇמְכֵ֣נִי כְאִמְרָתְךָ֣ וְאֶחְיֶ֑ה וְאַל־תְּ֝בִישֵׁ֗נִי מִשִּׂבְרִֽי׃
116Support me as You promised, so that I may live;do not thwart my expectation.
קי״זסְעָדֵ֥נִי וְאִוָּשֵׁ֑עָה וְאֶשְׁעָ֖ה בְחֻקֶּ֣יךָ תָמִֽיד׃
117Sustain me that I may be saved,and I will always muse upon Your laws.
קי״חסָ֭לִיתָ כׇּל־שׁוֹגִ֣ים מֵחֻקֶּ֑יךָ כִּי־שֶׁ֝֗קֶר תַּרְמִיתָֽם׃
118You reject all who stray from Your laws,for they are false and deceitful.
קי״טסִגִ֗ים הִשְׁבַּ֥תָּ כׇל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָ֑רֶץ לָ֝כֵ֗ן אָהַ֥בְתִּי עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃
119You do away with the wicked as if they were dross;rightly do I love Your decrees.
ק״כסָמַ֣ר מִפַּחְדְּךָ֣ בְשָׂרִ֑י וּֽמִמִּשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ יָרֵֽאתִי׃ {פ}
120My flesh creeps from fear of You;I am in awe of Your rulings.
קכ״אעָ֭שִׂיתִי מִשְׁפָּ֣ט וָצֶ֑דֶק בַּל־תַּ֝נִּיחֵ֗נִי לְעֹשְׁקָֽי׃
121ע I have done what is just and right;do not abandon me to those who would wrong me.
קכ״בעֲרֹ֣ב עַבְדְּךָ֣ לְט֑וֹב אַֽל־יַעַשְׁקֻ֥נִי זֵדִֽים׃
122Guarantee Your servant’s well-being;do not let the arrogant wrong me.
קכ״געֵ֭ינַי כָּל֣וּ לִישׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ וּלְאִמְרַ֥ת צִדְקֶֽךָ׃
123My eyes pine away for Your deliverance,for Your promise of victory.
קכ״דעֲשֵׂ֖ה עִם־עַבְדְּךָ֥ כְחַסְדֶּ֗ךָ וְחֻקֶּ֥יךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃
124Deal with Your servant as befits Your steadfast love;teach me Your laws.
קכ״העַבְדְּךָ־אָ֥נִי הֲבִינֵ֑נִי וְ֝אֵדְעָ֗ה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃
125I am Your servant;give me understanding,that I might know Your decrees.
קכ״ועֵ֭ת לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לַיהֹוָ֑ה הֵ֝פֵ֗רוּ תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃
126It is a time to act for GOD,for they have violated Your teaching.
קכ״זעַל־כֵּ֭ן אָהַ֣בְתִּי מִצְוֺתֶ֑יךָ מִזָּהָ֥ב וּמִפָּֽז׃
127Rightly do I love Your commandmentsmore than gold, even fine gold.
קכ״חעַל־כֵּ֤ן ׀ כׇּל־פִּקּ֣וּדֵי כֹ֣ל יִשָּׁ֑רְתִּי כׇּל־אֹ֖רַח שֶׁ֣קֶר שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃ {פ}
128Truly by all [Your] precepts I walk straight;dby all [Your] precepts I walk straight Or “I declare all [Your] precepts to be just.” I hate every false way.
קכ״טפְּלָא֥וֹת עֵדְוֺתֶ֑יךָ עַל־כֵּ֝֗ן נְצָרָ֥תַם נַפְשִֽׁי׃
129פ Your decrees are wondrous;rightly do I observe them.
ק״לפֵּ֖תַח דְּבָרֶ֥יךָ יָאִ֗יר מֵבִ֥ין פְּתָיִֽים׃
130The words You inscribed giveeThe words You inscribed give With Targum; or “The exposition of Your words gives”; meaning of Heb. uncertain. light,and grant understanding to the simple.
קל״אפִּֽי־פָ֭עַרְתִּי וָאֶשְׁאָ֑פָה כִּ֖י לְמִצְוֺתֶ֣יךָ יָאָֽבְתִּי׃
131I open my mouth wide, I pant,longing for Your commandments.
קל״בפְּנֵה־אֵלַ֥י וְחׇנֵּ֑נִי כְּ֝מִשְׁפָּ֗ט לְאֹהֲבֵ֥י שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
132Turn to me and be gracious to me,as is Your rule with those who love Your name.
קל״גפְּ֭עָמַי הָכֵ֣ן בְּאִמְרָתֶ֑ךָ וְֽאַל־תַּשְׁלֶט־בִּ֥י כׇל־אָֽוֶן׃
133Make my feet firm through Your promise;do not let iniquity dominate me.
קל״דפְּ֭דֵנִי מֵעֹ֣שֶׁק אָדָ֑ם וְ֝אֶשְׁמְרָ֗ה פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃
134Redeem me from being wronged by others,that I may keep Your precepts.
קל״הפָּ֭נֶיךָ הָאֵ֣ר בְּעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝לַמְּדֵ֗נִי אֶת־חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
135Show favor to Your servant,and teach me Your laws.
קל״ופַּלְגֵי־מַ֭יִם יָרְד֣וּ עֵינָ֑י עַ֝֗ל לֹא־שָׁמְר֥וּ תוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ {פ}
136My eyes shed streams of waterbecause others do not obey Your teaching.
קל״זצַדִּ֣יק אַתָּ֣ה יְהֹוָ֑ה וְ֝יָשָׁ֗ר מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָ׃
137צ You are righteous, O ETERNAL One;Your rulings are just.
קל״חצִ֭וִּיתָ צֶ֣דֶק עֵדֹתֶ֑יךָ וֶאֱמוּנָ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃
138You have ordained righteous decrees;they are firmly enduring.
קל״טצִמְּתַ֥תְנִי קִנְאָתִ֑י כִּֽי־שָׁכְח֖וּ דְבָרֶ֣יךָ צָרָֽי׃
139I am consumed with rageover my foes’ neglect of Your words.
ק״מצְרוּפָ֖ה אִמְרָתְךָ֥ מְאֹ֗ד וְֽעַבְדְּךָ֥ אֲהֵבָֽהּ׃
140Your word is exceedingly pure,and Your servant loves it.
קמ״אצָעִ֣יר אָנֹכִ֣י וְנִבְזֶ֑ה פִּ֝קֻּדֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃
141Though I am belittled and despised,I have not neglected Your precepts.
קמ״בצִדְקָתְךָ֣ צֶ֣דֶק לְעוֹלָ֑ם וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ֥ אֱמֶֽת׃
142Your righteousness is eternal;Your teaching is true.
קמ״גצַר־וּמָצ֥וֹק מְצָא֑וּנִי מִ֝צְוֺתֶ֗יךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃
143Though anguish and distress come upon me,Your commandments are my delight.
קמ״דצֶ֖דֶק עֵדְוֺתֶ֥יךָ לְעוֹלָ֗ם הֲבִינֵ֥נִי וְאֶחְיֶֽה׃ {פ}
144Your righteous decrees are eternal;give me understanding, that I might live.
קמ״הקָרָ֣אתִי בְכׇל־לֵ֭ב עֲנֵ֥נִי יְהֹוָ֗ה חֻקֶּ֥יךָ אֶצֹּֽרָה׃
145ק I call with all my heart;answer me, O ETERNAL One,that I may observe Your laws.
קמ״וקְרָאתִ֥יךָ הוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי וְ֝אֶשְׁמְרָ֗ה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃
146I call upon You; save me,that I may keep Your decrees.
קמ״זקִדַּ֣מְתִּי בַ֭נֶּשֶׁף וָאֲשַׁוֵּ֑עָה (לדבריך) [לִדְבָרְךָ֥] יִחָֽלְתִּי׃
147I rise before dawn and cry for help;I hope for Your word.
קמ״חקִדְּמ֣וּ עֵ֭ינַי אַשְׁמֻר֑וֹת לָ֝שִׂ֗יחַ בְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃
148My eyes greet each watch of the night,as I meditate on Your promise.
קמ״טק֭וֹלִי שִׁמְעָ֣ה כְחַסְדֶּ֑ךָ יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶ֥ךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃
149Hear my voice as befits Your steadfast love;O ETERNAL One, preserve me, as is Your rule.
ק״נקָ֭רְבוּ רֹדְפֵ֣י זִמָּ֑ה מִתּוֹרָתְךָ֥ רָחָֽקוּ׃
150Those who pursue intrigue draw near;they are far from Your teaching.
קנ״אקָר֣וֹב אַתָּ֣ה יְהֹוָ֑ה וְֽכׇל־מִצְוֺתֶ֥יךָ אֱמֶֽת׃
151You, O ETERNAL One, are near,and all Your commandments are true.
קנ״בקֶ֣דֶם יָ֭דַעְתִּי מֵעֵדֹתֶ֑יךָ כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם יְסַדְתָּֽם׃ {פ}
152I know from Your decrees of oldthat You have established them forever.
קנ״גרְאֵה־עׇנְיִ֥י וְחַלְּצֵ֑נִי כִּי־ת֥֝וֹרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃
153ר See my affliction and rescue me,for I have not neglected Your teaching.
קנ״דרִיבָ֣ה רִ֭יבִי וּגְאָלֵ֑נִי לְאִמְרָתְךָ֥ חַיֵּֽנִי׃
154Champion my cause and redeem me;preserve me according to Your promise.
קנ״הרָח֣וֹק מֵרְשָׁעִ֣ים יְשׁוּעָ֑ה כִּי־חֻ֝קֶּ֗יךָ לֹ֣א דָרָֽשׁוּ׃
155Deliverance is far from the wicked,for they have not turned to Your laws.
קנ״ורַחֲמֶ֖יךָ רַבִּ֥ים ׀ יְהֹוָ֑ה כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃
156Your mercies are great, O ETERNAL One;as is Your rule, preserve me.
קנ״זרַ֭בִּים רֹדְפַ֣י וְצָרָ֑י מֵ֝עֵדְוֺתֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א נָטִֽיתִי׃
157Many are my persecutors and foes;I have not swerved from Your decrees.
קנ״חרָאִ֣יתִי בֹ֭גְדִים וָאֶתְקוֹטָ֑טָה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִ֝מְרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א שָׁמָֽרוּ׃
158I have seen traitors and loathedfloathed Or “have contended with.” them,because they did not keep Your word in mind.
קנ״טרְ֭אֵה כִּי־פִקּוּדֶ֣יךָ אָהָ֑בְתִּי יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה כְּֽחַסְדְּךָ֥ חַיֵּֽנִי׃
159See that I have loved Your precepts;O ETERNAL One, preserve me, as befits Your steadfast love.
ק״סרֹאשׁ־דְּבָרְךָ֥ אֱמֶ֑ת וּ֝לְעוֹלָ֗ם כׇּל־מִשְׁפַּ֥ט צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ {פ}
160Truth is the essence of Your word;Your just rules are eternal.
קס״אשָׂ֭רִים רְדָפ֣וּנִי חִנָּ֑ם (ומדבריך) [וּ֝מִדְּבָרְךָ֗] פָּחַ֥ד לִבִּֽי׃
161ש Princes have persecuted me without reason;my heart thrills at Your word.
קס״בשָׂ֣שׂ אָ֭נֹכִי עַל־אִמְרָתֶ֑ךָ כְּ֝מוֹצֵ֗א שָׁלָ֥ל רָֽב׃
162I rejoice over Your promiseas one who obtains great spoil.
קס״גשֶׁ֣קֶר שָׂ֭נֵאתִי וַאֲתַעֵ֑בָה תּוֹרָתְךָ֥ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃
163I hate and abhor falsehood;I love Your teaching.
קס״דשֶׁ֣בַע בַּ֭יּוֹם הִלַּלְתִּ֑יךָ עַ֝֗ל מִשְׁפְּטֵ֥י צִדְקֶֽךָ׃
164I praise You seven times each dayfor Your just rules.
קס״השָׁל֣וֹם רָ֭ב לְאֹהֲבֵ֣י תוֹרָתֶ֑ךָ וְאֵֽין־לָ֥מוֹ מִכְשֽׁוֹל׃
165Those who love Your teaching enjoy well-being;they encounter no adversity.
קס״ושִׂבַּ֣רְתִּי לִישׁוּעָתְךָ֣ יְהֹוָ֑ה וּֽמִצְוֺתֶ֥יךָ עָשִֽׂיתִי׃
166I hope for Your deliverance, O ETERNAL One;I observe Your commandments.
קס״זשָֽׁמְרָ֣ה נַ֭פְשִׁי עֵדֹתֶ֑יךָ וָאֹהֲבֵ֥ם מְאֹֽד׃
167I obey Your decreesand love them greatly.
קס״חשָׁמַ֣רְתִּי פִ֭קּוּדֶיךָ וְעֵדֹתֶ֑יךָ כִּ֖י כׇל־דְּרָכַ֣י נֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃ {פ}
168I obey Your precepts and decrees;all my ways are before You.
קס״טתִּקְרַ֤ב רִנָּתִ֣י לְפָנֶ֣יךָ יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּדְבָרְךָ֥ הֲבִינֵֽנִי׃
169ת May my plea reach You, O ETERNAL One;grant me understanding according to Your word.
ק״עתָּב֣וֹא תְחִנָּתִ֣י לְפָנֶ֑יךָ כְּ֝אִמְרָתְךָ֗ הַצִּילֵֽנִי׃
170May my petition come before You;save me in accordance with Your promise.
קע״אתַּבַּ֣עְנָה שְׂפָתַ֣י תְּהִלָּ֑ה כִּ֖י תְלַמְּדֵ֣נִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
171My lips shall pour forth praise,for You teach me Your laws.
קע״בתַּ֣עַן לְ֭שׁוֹנִי אִמְרָתֶ֑ךָ כִּ֖י כׇל־מִצְוֺתֶ֣יךָ צֶּֽדֶק׃
172My tongue shall declare Your promise,for all Your commandments are just.
קע״גתְּהִי־יָדְךָ֥ לְעׇזְרֵ֑נִי כִּ֖י פִקּוּדֶ֣יךָ בָחָֽרְתִּי׃
173Lend Your hand to help me,for I have chosen Your precepts.
קע״דתָּאַ֣בְתִּי לִישׁוּעָתְךָ֣ יְהֹוָ֑ה וְ֝ת֥וֹרָתְךָ֗ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃
174I have longed for Your deliverance, O ETERNAL One;Your teaching is my delight.
קע״התְּֽחִי־נַ֭פְשִׁי וּֽתְהַלְלֶ֑ךָּ וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶ֥ךָ יַעְזְרֻֽנִי׃
175Let me live, that I may praise You;may Your rules be my help;
קע״ותָּעִ֗יתִי כְּשֶׂ֣ה אֹ֭בֵד בַּקֵּ֣שׁ עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ כִּ֥י מִ֝צְוֺתֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ {פ}
176I have strayed like a lost sheep;search for Your servant,for I have not neglected Your commandments.
