When one enwraps himself with the tallit gadol (large tallit) it is unnecessary to cover his head and face down to his mouth; this is indicated in the laws of tzitzit in the siddur (p. 11). It is our custom, however, to cover the eyes;) with the upper part of the tallit.

During the days of sefira it is customary to study tractate Sota, one page each day;) - in addition to one's regular study sessions.

The number of pages in Sota, 49, coincides with the 49 days of the omer. One should begin this study on the First day of Chol Hamo'ed. Viz. sicha, Shavuot 5710, section 15.

בעטיפת ט"ג [טלית גדול] אין צריך לכסות ראשו עד פיו, וכמ"ש [וכמו שכתוב] בהלכות ציצית אשר בסידור. אבל נוהגין לכסות בחלקו העליון של הט"ג [הטלית גדול] גם העינים.

נוהגים ללמוד בימי הספירה מס' [מסכת] סוטה - נוסף על שיעורים הקבועים - דף ליום דף ליום.
