ט״זשתה יין ומים אין לו לברך על המים בורא נפשות שברכת היין פוטרת כשם שבברכה ראשונה יין פוטר כל מיני משקים:
16If one drank wine and water, one need not bless Creator of souls upon the water, since the wine-blessing covers the water just as wine's pre-consumption blessing covers all kinds of beverages.
י״זברכת שלשה אינה פוטרת מעין שלשה שאם אכל דייסא אין ברכת המזון פוטרתו אבל ביין ברכת שלשה פוטרתו שאם בירך על היין ברכת המזון במקום על הגפן יצא וה"ה אם בירך על התמרים בהמ"ז במקום על העץ יצא ואפילו לא אמר אלא ברכת הזן בין על היין בין על התמרים יצא ואם נזכר עד שלא חתם בברכת הזן יתחיל ועל שהנחלת לאבותינו ארץ חמדה טובה ורחבה ויסיים ברכה דמעין שלשה:
17The blessing of three does not cover the summary of three, that if one ate a dish of pounded grain, the Blessing of Sustenance does not cover it. But the blessing of three does cover wine, that if one blessed the Blessing of Sustenance upon wine in the place of Upon the vine, one has fulfilled their obligation. And this is the judgment if one blessed upon dates the Blessing of Sustenance in place of Upon the tree, one has fulfilled one’s obligation. And even if one had only said the Blessing of Who feeds, whether upon wine or whether upon dates, one has fulfilled one’s obligation. And if one mentioned until they had not closed off with the blessing of Who feeds, the person should begin Upon having apportioned to our forefathers a land of delightful, good, and wide, and then conclude with the blessing that is an abbreviation of three
י״חלא יכלול על הספק שום תוספת בברכת מעין שלש אע"פ שאינו מוסיף שם ומלכות [פי' כגון ששתה משקה שספק אם ברכתו על הגפן וכו' או בורא נפשו' רבות וכו' לאכול דבר שברכתו בורא נפשות רבות ודבר שברכתו על העץ ויכלול עמו ג"כ על הגפן ועל פרי הגפן כו' מספק] (ת"ה וכ"מ במרדכי פ' כ"מ וע' לעיל סעיף ט"ז):
18One should not include any doubtful food type in the abbreviation-of-three Blessing, even though he is not mentioning the name and kingship (of God) [i.e. If one drank a drink that is in doubt wether to be considered eligible for "Upon the Vine" or "Creator of Many Souls", he can not eat something eligible for "Creator of Many Souls", another thing that is eligible for "Upon the Fruits" and then add "Upon the Vine" when saying the abbreviation-of-three Blessing]
